  RAMELO (Luxury Living Contractors LLC) holds a Business Associate Agreement with its enterprise voice infrastructure provider, covering the voice processing layer under HIPAA. We can also provide a direct BAA with RAMELO on request — email hello@ramelo.ai.

  Call-recording disclosure — all 50 states

  Under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 2511), one-party consent is the baseline for call recording. Multiple states require all-party (two-party) consent — including California, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Washington, and others. Ava notifies callers at the start of every call that it may be recorded, satisfying both federal baseline and all state all-party-consent requirements. Ava also discloses her AI nature to any caller who asks. Businesses using RAMELO are responsible for any additional consents required in their specific jurisdiction.

  Data minimization

  Ava collects only what is needed to book and manage appointments: name, contact number, and requested appointment time. No health history, no treatment notes, no payment data collected on calls.

  We do not say "fully HIPAA compliant"

  HIPAA compliance depends on your full data flow, your EHR, your state's rules, and how you have configured your practice — not on a vendor label. We walk through your specific data path before go-live. Practices with complex PHI requirements should confirm their complete setup with their compliance advisor.

  RAMELO has not yet pursued a SOC 2 audit for the company itself. Our underlying infrastructure providers individually maintain SOC 2 Type II certifications, but RAMELO does not yet hold that certification. We expect to pursue it as we scale.

  No plug-and-play connector yet for all EMR platforms. Ava uses an encrypted scheduling integration as its primary booking layer. Custom integrations are possible — ask us at hello@ramelo.ai before you commit if your practice relies on a specific EMR/practice management system.

  Live human escalation mid-call

  Ava cannot transfer a caller to a live human staff member on the same call today. Urgent or complex requests are handled by sending the business a call summary and flagging follow-up.
